đź’° DreamWhin Funding & Payout Guide
Effective Date: October 4, 2026

Helping Dreams Come to Life

DreamWhin allows eligible members to receive financial support from the community to help move their dreams forward.
When creating a dream, members may select Funding as a type of support they need. Dreams requesting funding are reviewed by DreamWhin before financial support can begin.
Approval allows a dream to receive financial support but does not guarantee that the dream will receive contributions or reach its funding goal.

đź’ˇ How Funding Works
-
Create your dream and select Funding as a support type.
-
Submit your dream for DreamWhin review.
-
Once approved, your dream may be published and made available for financial support.
-
Supporters may contribute toward your dream.
-
Your funding progress is tracked on DreamWhin.
-
When your dream reaches an eligible payout level, complete your Stripe payout setup if required.
-
Request your eligible payout.
-
DreamWhin reviews and processes eligible payout requests.

đź’° Funding Limit
At launch, the maximum funding goal is:
$250 per dream

This limit allows DreamWhin to introduce the funding system carefully while the platform grows.

DreamWhin may change funding limits in the future. Changes will apply to future funding activity and will not change contributions already completed.

đź’ł Platform & Payment Processing Fees
DreamWhin charges a 30% platform fee on each contribution.

Payment-processing fees charged by the payment processor are also deducted.

The amount credited toward a dream is therefore:
Contribution − DreamWhin platform fee − payment-processing fee = amount credited to the dream

For example, if a supporter contributes $10.00, the DreamWhin platform fee is $3.00. Payment-processing fees are then deducted, and the remaining amount is credited toward the dream.

Processing fees may vary.

Because fees are deducted before funds are credited, the total amount paid by supporters may be greater than the dream's stated funding goal.

The Amount Raised and funding progress displayed for a dream reflect the amount actually credited toward the dream after applicable fees.

The DreamWhin platform fee helps support the operation, maintenance, development, security, payment services, and administration of the platform.

đź’µ Contributions Near the Funding Goal
A dream cannot receive credit beyond its remaining funding goal.

If a contribution would cause the credited amount to exceed the amount still needed to complete the dream, only the amount needed to reach the goal is credited to the dream.

Any remaining net amount is retained by DreamWhin to support platform operations and related costs.

When available, checkout displays the estimated amount that will be credited toward the dream before the supporter completes payment.

📊 Funding Progress
DreamWhin may display information including:
-
Funding Goal
-
Amount Raised
-
Funding Progress
-
Available Payout
-
Payout Status

Funding progress is based on the net amount credited to the dream after applicable fees and adjustments.

🏦 Payouts
DreamWhin currently uses a two-stage payout system.

First Payout — 50%
When a dream reaches at least 50% of its funding goal, the dreamer becomes eligible for the first payout.

The first payout is equal to 50% of the dream's funding goal.

For example, a dream with a $100 funding goal becomes eligible for a $50 first payout once at least $50 has been credited toward the dream.

If more than $50 has been raised at that time, the additional credited funds remain associated with the dream until the final payout becomes eligible.

Final Payout — 100%
When the dream reaches 100% of its funding goal, the remaining eligible balance may be requested.

Any amount already paid through the first payout is deducted from the final amount available.

A dream may generally receive a maximum of two regular payouts: one at 50% and one at 100%.

đź’ł Stripe Payout Setup
DreamWhin uses Stripe Connect to process payouts.

Dreamers do not need to complete Stripe payout onboarding simply to create a dream requesting funding.

When a payout becomes available, the dreamer may be required to complete Stripe onboarding before receiving funds.

Stripe may request information such as identity, contact, banking, or other information required to verify the account and process payments.

Information submitted through Stripe's onboarding process is handled by Stripe and is also subject to Stripe's terms, verification requirements, and policies.

âś… Payout Processing
Reaching a payout level does not mean funds are automatically deposited into the dreamer's bank account.

The dreamer must meet applicable payout requirements and request the payout.

DreamWhin may review a payout request before processing it.

After DreamWhin processes an eligible payout, Stripe and the receiving financial institution determine the timing of the transfer.

Verification requirements, payment disputes, account restrictions, banking delays, or other payment-processing issues may affect payout timing.
DreamWhin does not guarantee a specific bank-deposit date.

↩️ Refunds, Disputes & Reversals
Contributions are generally non-refundable once completed, except where required by law or where DreamWhin determines that a refund is appropriate, including certain duplicate or fraudulent transactions.

Supporters may contact DreamWhin regarding suspected duplicate or unauthorized charges.

If a contribution is refunded, disputed, reversed, or charged back after it has been credited to a dream, DreamWhin may adjust:
-
Amount Raised
-
Funding progress
-
Available payout
-
Payout eligibility
-
Remaining dream balance

Nothing in this policy limits rights that may be available under applicable law or through a payment provider.
